I am Dr. Shonda Carter, a spiritual director who believes (I am living proof) God speaks fluent human. I work with Christian women of color who are navigating faith alongside trauma, race, grief, and longing. My role is not to fix your story or rush you toward answers, but to help create a sacred, attentive space where your whole self can be met by God. This work honors both faith and experience while the process of spiritual formation proceeds through truth, patience, and presence.

Dr. Shonda Carter is a spiritual director who works with Christian women of color seeking faith that can hold their real lives. Her work is rooted in story, honoring the ways faith, trauma, race, grief, and longing intersect in the human experience.
She offers a private, attentive space where women can explore their relationship with God withough rusing, performing, or editing themselves to belong.
